We ensures that customer data is handled in compliance with privacy laws and regulations, and merchants/users are provided with tools to manage and protect their customer data effectively.

We use the information we collect from or about you in order to help deliver a first-class user experience. Our use of this information may include the following:

This data may also be used to tailor advertising to you based on your location.

·       If you purchase something from or provide your information to a Grocito-powered store and wish to exercise these rights regarding your purchase or interaction, you need to contact the merchant directly. We act as a processor and handle information on their behalf. We will assist our merchants in fulfilling these requests as required by law, by providing them with the necessary tools and answering their questions.

·       If you are a merchant/user, customer, Grocito employee, website visitor, or any other individual with a direct relationship with Grocito, please submit your data subject request via email. Please note that if you send us a request regarding your personal information, we need to verify your identity before responding. To do this, we may use a third party to collect and verify identification documents.

5. Rights and Information of the Users

·       User of grocito.com has a right to alter, correct or update his personal or non-personal information including details about your Grocito account, payment information and other related information. Deletion of personal information may be requested by you as and when required. We would attempt to respond to all requests relating to such issues in accordance with law. Grocito.com is committed to complying with the Digital Advertising Alliance ("DAA") Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising and the DAA Application of Self-Regulatory Principles for the Mobile Environment.

You may also opt out of certain promotional communications by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in a particular promotional communication. Please note that you cannot opt out from receiving all communications from Grocito, including administrative messages, service announcements, and messages regarding the terms and conditions of your account because those may contain important information.

  

8. Security and Account Access

·       We use a variety of physical, technical, and administrative measures to safeguard information in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure, and modification. For example, we take steps to limit access to sensitive information from or about you to the employees, agents, and contractors of Grocito who have a legitimate business reason to access such information.

·       Please note that there is always a possibility that a breach in data transmission or storage may occur. We want you to feel confident in our security when using the Grocito Services, but we cannot guarantee the security of any information from or about you at all times. Please note that if you allow others to use your account, they may be able to view information about your account, including information about the videos you view and your email address.

·       Because we need your personal information to provide Grocito services, we generally keep your personal information, including sensitive personal information, while you use Grocito products or services or until you tell us to delete your information. We may also keep personal information to comply with legal obligations or protect our or other’s interests.

·       If you are a merchant operating a Grocito-powered store/platform, and you close the store/platform, stop paying your subscription fees, or we terminate your account, we retain store information for 60 days before we begin the deletion process.

·       When you visit or make a purchase from a merchant’s Grocito-powered store/platform, we act as a service provider or processor for the merchant, and the merchant, not Grocito, decides how long your information is retained.

9. Applicable Law

·       Grocito Online Private Limited is headquartered in Rajasthan, India and the Grocito Services are intended for users in India and across the globe. By viewing any Content or otherwise using the Grocito Services, you consent to the transfer of information throughout India to the extent applicable, and the collection, storage, and processing of information under Indian laws.

10. Grocito Delivery Partner App – Use of Location Data

·       To participate / Join as a Grocito Delivery agent, you must permit the Grocito Delivery Partner App to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system (“Platform”) or browser. We may collect the precise location of your device when the Grocito Delivery Partner app is running in the foreground or background of your device. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address. We use your location information to verify that you are present in your preferred region or city when you begin or engage in a delivery through the Grocito Delivery Partner App connect you with delivery opportunities in your zone, and track the progress and completion of your Deliveries. You can enable the location tracking feature through the settings on your device or Platform or when prompted by the Grocito Delivery Partner mobile app. If you choose to disable the location feature through the settings on your device or Platform, Grocito Online Private Limited will not receive precise location information from your device, which will prevent you from being able to work as Grocito Delivery Agent and receiving delivery opportunities in your area.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

·       From time to time, we may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or the Grocito Services or for other reasons. Therefore, it is important to check the effective date posted at the top of the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Grocito website to ensure you are familiar with our most updated policies.
